Tourism development of some Egyptian mines and quarries

Abstract

This research aims to study tourism development plans for mines and quarries in Egypt as one of the important means in developing regions and places of economic, social and urban attractions, especially regions that do not have effective economic components compared to what they possess of tourism components in the case of planning for their development and investment rationally for the purpose of raising the living standard of individuals that community.
  The research also reviews the mines and quarries included in the tourism development plan in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
 The field study was based on the research on the collection and analysis of basic data related to the subject of the study through the design and distribution of survey forms, which target a random sample of representatives from the local community in the Hankorab mine, the West Aswan archaeological quarry, the Fawakher mine and the Ras Shagra quarry to know their views on the tourism development of some mines and quarries in Egypt. And the tourism projects suitable for the development of the mine/quarry for tourism, and the proposals that the sample sees for development.
