The tour guide is no longer just one of the components included in the comprehensive tourist trip, but rather has become one of the most important of these components, if not the most important of them all - due to the role he plays in the success of the trip. The traditional role of the guide, which is limited to providing information to the tourist, is no longer all that the guide does on the tourist trip. Rather, it has gone beyond it to more important stages that include explanation, interpretation, and commentary, in addition to other roles that include leading the tourist group and working to solve problems that the group may face during the implementation of the program1 He is also the one who coordinates events and sometimes markets programmes. He is also the one who encourages members of his tour group to participate in events and purchase optional programs as well as the purchase of tourist souvenirs. He is generally responsible for managing the tour group2 and given the multiple roles of the guide and their importance, this is why this tourism profession is considered one of Factors for the increasing demand for comprehensive tourist trips, which account for more than 80% of the global tourism movement, due to what characterizes this type of trip by the presence of a guide as one of its main components3
